ON THE PORCH

(Outside MIA and QUINN’s building. Continuous from the lobby. G finishes placing the two chairs and helps MIA and QUINN sit. The lights settle into the porch. A quiet beat.)

MIA

Do you want to talk about it?

QUINN

I didn’t need the job. I wanted it.

(A beat.)

QUINN

I liked being there.

MIA

I know.

(From behind the building comes a distant, indignant llama sound.)

MIA

Where are you even keeping a llama in there, Quinn? These apartments aren’t that much bigger than my old place.

QUINN

He comes and goes.
